MERCEDES/ HARLINGEN, TX.- Judy Dominguez Trunnell, 33, passed away on Tuesday, May 5, 2009 in Harlingen, Texas.
She was born December 31, 1975 to Juan & Maria Elena ``Lily'' Dominguez in Weslaco, Texas.
Judy dedicated 8 years as an educator at the Mercedes Independent School District. She served children with special needs and was a loving, caring, beautiful person. She is and will forever be loved and missed by all those who knew her and in her lifetime she touched many lives. She was a loving and dedicated daughter, sister, wife, and mother.
She is survived by her loving family; Husband Steven M. Trunnell of Harlingen, 2 Daughters; Hannah Rayne Trunnell of Harlingen, Gabbie Ella Trunnell of Harlingen, Parents; Juan & Lily Dominguez of Mercedes, In-Laws; Aplolonio (Ofelia+) Barrera of San Benito, 1 Brother; Michael (Emily) Dominguez of La Feria, 1 Sister; Janette (Ramon) Martinez of Harlingen, numerous nieces, nephews, aunts and uncles.
Visitation will be held on Wednesday, May 6, 2009 from 5:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m.
Funeral arrangements will be conducted on Thursday, May 7, 2009. We will depart Rudy Garza Chapel of Peace in Mercedes, TX at 9:30 a.m. for a 10:00 a.m. mass at Our Lady of Mercy Catholic Church.
Interment will then follow at Mont Meta Cemetery in San Benito, Texas.
Pallbearers are: Israel Flores, Ramon Martinez, Johnny Martinez, Carlos Cisneros, Frank Garza, and Dan Tamez.
Honorary Pallbearers are: Jesse Mendiola & Donovan Martinez.

After hearing about Judy I was very sad. I had alot of different emotions being that I haven't seen or talked to her in so long. Even though it has been awhile I know Judy still thought of me the way I thought of her. We had many good times together, Me Judy and Robin were a special group of friends. Although I never had the pleasure of meeting her, I know from the outpouring of sentiments that Judy was a special person and will be missed by so many people. I had the privilege of working with Judy in the special education classroom some years ago. I can honestly admit that she was such a nice person and possessed a calm and peaceful attitude. It was so sad to hear of her departing. My thoughts and prayers go out to her family.

I've known Judy for such a long time, even before Mike and my Mom were married, she was such a great friend to my aunt Belinda. Mike, I was saddened to hear of your sister's condition a couple of weeks ago, although I did not know her, I know in my heart she was a wonderful person and an angel sent to this earth to do her task, as she completed that certain task that only God knew what it was, He called her back home. My heart felt prayers are with the Trunnell family.......I was priviledged to know Judy when I worked at the original JFK campus in Mercedes and I was amazed of her patience and caring for the special ed. kids. I worked along side Judy, Mrs. Fernandez, Cris, and my dear friend Alfredo Izaguirre. We were a team and we enjoyed working along side one another. I recall taking my famous tuna salad for lunch and I shared it with my friends and fellow co-workers. Judy was the first one to ask.........hey Mr. Carreon that tuna salad looks delicious......even though she already had lunch! She finally asked me for the recipe and I happily obliged! She told me she made it for Steve but Judy said she put too much garlic! AH QUE JUDY!! I'm going to miss her contagious laugh and her caring and warm demeanor!! Fuistes una buen amiga, Judy! My prayers are with you Mr. and Mrs Dominguez and Mr. Trunnell and your family. I was privileged to work with Judy at Kennedy Elem. No matter what the day brought, I knew when I walked into her classroom she would be there to greet me with a smile and sweet comment. We never parted without sharing a story and a laugh. Judy you will forever be missed. Although it is diffucult to acccept and hard to believe, I am comforted knowing that you are in Heaven in the arms of our Heavenly Father. My prayers are with the entire family....I know the Lord will bless them with faith, comfort and strength during this difficult time.
