Katherine P. Duddlesten, 92 of Raymondville, TX, entered into rest Wednesday, May 6, 2015 in her home.
She was born on December 10, 1922 in Manor, TX, daughter of Charles and Minnie Bosse Prenzler.
Katherine was a proud mother of her three sons and their spouses and a loving grandmother to her grandchildren. She shared a special bond with her twin sister, Evangeline Neese. They spent endless hours together, whether it was cooking, canning, gardening, fishing or hunting. She exhibited great love and devotion to her family members, who were always her priority. Her adventurous spirit will forever live in those that knew her.
She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Roy E. Duddlesten; brother, Charles Prenzler, Jr.; sisters Pearl Matz and Bernice Bock.
Left behind to cherish her memory are her sons, Tommy A. (Billie) Wittenbach, Jr., Ronald G. (Rose) Wittenbach, David (Susan) Wittenbach; her sisters, Evangeline Neese, and Charlotte Guild; grandchildren, Trent, Tracy, Troy and Staci and numerous nieces and nephews.
Visitation at Duddlesten Funeral Home will be held on Friday, May 8, 2015 and Saturday May 9, 2015 until time of service.
Funeral services will be held on Saturday, May 9, 2015 at 2:00 p.m. at Bethel Lutheran Church, 8243 Park Ave., Lyford, Texas 78569 with Pastor Randy Nichols officiating. Interment will follow in the Raymondville Memorial Cemetery, Raymondville, Texas.
A special thank you to her caregivers, Christine, Frances, Dolores, Janie, Letty, Lupita and for Lisa who devoted much time to her as a special friend.
May the emptiness we have be filled with fond memories and the joy of knowing such a selfless and wonderful woman.
