Lots of fond memories of traveling to Raymondville by train or car to visit my maternal grandparents, Aunt Kathryn and Uncle Norris and my cousins. Catching the train in Houston late at night, sleeping on the train to wake up the next morning to be pulling into Raymondville. Spending two summers in Raymondville was a blast. Hearing the story of my parent's first Christmas together at Aunt Kathryn's house. Yeah, Dad giving Mom her engagement ring at the end of a switch did not go over well. It warms the heart remembering all the meals in Aunt Kathryn's kitchen and dining room with everyone seated at the tables.
