Lester Beatty

1941 - 2017

Harlingen /Lakeville, MN - Lester "Frank" Beatty age 75, went to be with the lord on Tuesday April 11th at Valley Baptist Hospital in Harlingen Texas. After a long courageous fight against Multiple Myeloma, Frank said he was going to go fishing on the River Jordan and draw pictures in the sand. Born on Dec 26th, 1941 to Frank and Minnie Beatty, Frank grew up in New Rockford, North Dakota. On August 18th 1962, he married the love of his life, Patricia McKay in Richfield MN. Together they adored and raised their two boys, John and Tom, in Apple Valley MN. After retiring, Frank and Pat cherished life in Grand Rapids MN, and Harlingen TX. Frank enjoyed hunting, fishing, woodcarving, cooking and making stained glass. Most of all, he loved getting together with his family. Frank valued loyalty and Integrity in his own life and in those fortunate enough to be considered friends. For 33 years, Frank worked at Control Data and Seagate Technologies.

Frank is survived by his loving wife Pat of 54 years, his son John Beatty (Cheri) of Lakeville MN, and Tom Beatty (Julie) also of Lakeville MN; 6 grandchildren, Johnny, Carlie, Chloe, Casey, Jamie and Skylar; 2 sisters, Jeannette Christ and Connie Bauer; Nieces, Nephews; and a lot of tools and taxidermy mounts.

Frank; Husband, Father, Brother, Uncle and Friend will be missed by all. Dad used to say "it is what it is and you can't change it." Nothing could be truer about how we'll treasure your memory, words, and love. Until we fish together again - on the banks of the Jordan.

A memorial service will be held Sunday May7th at 4:00 PM at the MN Horse and Hunt Club in Prior Lake, MN, with a gathering to follow from 5:00-7:00 PM.
