Mrs Gonzalez was known as La Senora Maria all my life and I loved and respected her all the time as she treated us as her own children. We were Long time friends of the entire family and we use to visit each other family weekly or twice a week and had the greatest times. What I enjoyed more was admiring her. I always found a way to sit with her and mom (they were Comadres) on the table and drink coffee so I could look at her face and her earrings and jewelry and that pretty red lipstick. I wanted to so bad be like them when I grew up. My mom would tell me to go out and play but I would find a way back in and sit down again to look at her again. She was such a beautiful woman. Her and my mom looked like dolls having a tea party (but in those days it was coffee with Leche Pet). La Senora Maria and my Mom were my inspiration to dress up and wear jewelry and this is who I am. She was such a wonderful person and we could say our 2nd mom as that is the way she treated us. I loved her dearly and have never forgotten her and never will. I will always carry her in my heart as she was a very special person. May La Senora Maria Rest In Peace in heaven. My sincere condolences to all the Gonzalez family. Tere Jimenez- Salinas.
