Norma Cole Obituary

Norma Lee Cole
RAYMONDVILLE, TX. -
Norma Lee Cole, 82, passed peacefully on Tuesday, February 11, 2014. She was born March 14, 1931 in Sebastian Texas to Daniel Boone Wright and Alta Viola Wright.
She is survived by her daughters Rebekah Morrow (Clifford), Virginia Kirsch (Ben Jr.), grandchildren Zane Kirsch, Stacie Lopez (Nat), Stephanie Orozco (Shawn), Ross Morrow, and 3 great-grandchildren.
She is preceded in death by her father and mother, sister Nita Mae Wertz, brother James Donald Wright, and beloved husband of 62 years Robert W. Cole.
Norma was a dedicated county employee with a career spanning 37 years as a librarian for the Reber Memorial Library of Raymondville, Texas. As an active citizen she worked tirelessly for the improvement of her community, serving as a volunteer on the Raymondville Ambulance EMS, Willacy County Women's Art League, Raymondville Hospital Board and the Raymondville Historical Society.
Her selfless love and dedication for her family, friends, and community can only be surpassed by her boundless love for God, His Work, and the Raymondville Pentecostal Church of which she was a lifelong member.
She lived her entire life as the consummate example of the woman in Proverbs 31: "A capable, intelligent and virtuous woman... She is more precious than jewels, and her value is far above rubies or pearls... Her children rise up and call her blessed; happy, fortunate, and to be envied...Many daughters have done virtuously, noble and well; with strength of character that is steadfast in goodness, but you exceed them all."
Visitation with family is scheduled for Thursday, February 13, 2014 from 6-8pm at Good Shepherd Funeral Home in Raymondville.
Funeral services will be held at Raymondville United Pentecostal Church on Friday, February 14, 2014 at 10am. Graveside services to follow at Raymondville Memorial Cemetery with Pastor Mark Uzepan officiating.
Serving as pallbearers are Clifford Morrow, Ben Kirsch Jr., Nat Lopez, Zane Kirsch, Ross Morrow, and Shawn Orozco.
The family would like to express their profound appreciation and thanks to Ruby and Paul Navarrette and staff of the Providence Guest House, and the nurses and staff of Odyssey Hospice Care. Donations in her memory can be made to the United Pentecostal Church, Raymondville, Texas.
Funeral arrangements have been entrusted to the caring hands of Good Shepherd Funeral Home.
