HARLINGEN, TX. --
Paca S. Pena 71, of Harlingen went to be with The Lord Saturday, May 2, 2015.
Paca was born September 21, 1943 to Salvador and Guadalupe Sanchez.
She is preceded in death by her parents and sister, Herlinda Ponce.
Paca leaves behind to cherish her loving memory her husband, Guadalupe Pena Jr.; three children, Melissa (Missy) (Kenny) Moore of Harlingen, Cune (Michelle) Pena of Tyler, Midy (Mike) Herrera of Harlingen; nine grandchildren, Jenny, Dustin, Brandon, Chance, Jacob, Reagan, Zachery, Briahna, Christian; and two great-grandchildren, Kye Johnson and Evolett. She is also survived by her brothers, Raymundo (Queta) Sanchez, Jose (Marisol) Sanchez, Jesus (Sylvia) Sanchez and sister, San Juana (Chey) Arredondo.
She was a very selfless woman who was full of kindness, joy, love, goodness and patience. Her passion in life was her family and her very successful Mary Kay business of 32 years. She was a woman of faith, who walked in real love. She was an overcomer and she showed many how to overcome their own fears and insecurities.
She was deeply loved by all those that knew her.
Visitation will be held today (Monday) beginning at 2:00 pm to 8:00 pm and a prayer service will be at 7:00 pm.
Funeral services will be Tuesday, May 5, 2015 with a chapel service at 2:00 pm to be officiated by her son Pastor Cune Pena and interment will follow at Mont Meta Cemetery.
Funeral services are under the direction of Rudy Garza Funeral Home.

We just found out about her passing. We were thinking of when I was little and my dad worked for grandpa Lupe and the Pena brothers and how close our families became and how we would call them Tio and Tia. She will be greatly missed.. Love y'all and may she rest in peace. May the Lord have her in his glory..

To The Pena Family:
My deepest condolences to you Missy, Cune and Paca's husband, Lupe.
I was telling my mom last night how I remembered when I was about 6 or 7yrs old and being babysit by Mrs. Pena (Paca) and it brings me a smile from those memories we all cherish when we were young.
Mrs. Pena was always a great friend to my mom and she will forever be one to my mom. My mom and family is saddened by Paca's passing but we know down deep in our hearts and soul that Paca is with our Lord, Jesus, and for that I am grateful. I am grateful to God, his Son and the Holy Spirit that we have HIS PROMISE in seeing our loved ones again, and for this, we all should rejoice.

My deepest condolences to Paca's family. I will always have fond memories of Paca, my Mary Kay Director. She was an incredible, classy lady that was always there to support, encourage, and guide us. A true example to so many women. May she rest in peace.

Absolutely Beautiful Woman. Outside and In. Paca always and I do mean ALWAYS made me feel welcome at her home. Treated me just like her own growing up in the Valley and as Cune and I ventured to Tyler together after high-school. Every time I saw Paca she and Jr., I was welcomed like a long lost child. I truly love this woman. You will be missed, but you are without a doubt, at THE PLACE TO BE!!
