Pamela Busse Obituary

Lyford - A daughter, given by the Lord to Eugene and Millie Jetton, was born in Raymondville, Texas, on March 29, 1954 and died at her home in Lyford, Texas, Friday, April 7, 2017, following a two year battle with Inflammatory Breast Cancer. The span of her earthly pilgrimage was 63 years, and 9 days.

Today we rejoice in the knowledge that she has passed the barrier of time as we know it, and is forever at home with her Savior, Christ Jesus, who she so faithfully served.

On September 30, 1972 Pam married the love of her life, Gary Busse, and together for more than 44 years, through good times and bad, they provided a wonderful example of Christian marriage to their family and community.

Surviving, along with her husband Gary, are a daughter and son-in-law, Alison & Jud Savage, of Lyford; two sons and two daughters-in-law: Ryan & Lara Busse, and Chad & Julia Busse, all of Harlingen. She is also survived by 7 grandchildren: Justin & Bubba Rocha, Keller, Sawyer & Jana Busse, and Cole and Dylan Busse. Pam is remembered and loved by 2 surviving sisters, Diane Dunn & Karen (James) Henderson, a brother, Gale (Delhma) Jetton, and her Father-in-law, Buck Busse.

"Pammy", as she was affectionately known by her grandchildren, was selfless, kind, and faithful to the end. Her battle with cancer was a great testament to the strength of her faith. She was an example to everyone that knew her because she always trusted in God's greater plan and even when things were at their worst, she prayed that His will be done.

Pammy left this earth physically sick, weak, and broken. She was in need of God's healing hands; and because of her unfaltering faith in the forgiveness of sins through the death and resurrection our Savior, Jesus, she is now healed, restored, and whole in spirit, living with her Father in Heaven. Pammy is now at peace. She is home!

He will wipe away every tear from their eyes, and death shall be no more, neither shall there be mourning nor crying nor pain anymore, for the former things have passed away. Rev. 21:4

A viewing and family visitation is scheduled for Monday, April 10th from 5pm - 8pm at St. Paul Lutheran Church in Harlingen. The funeral service will be held on Tuesday, April 11th, at 10 a.m., also at St. Paul Church. A graveside service will immediately follow the funeral, at Lyford's Evergreen Cemetery.

I am so sorry for your loss of such a wonderful person. Pam was my inspiration when I was younger as I watched her play basketball; she was an awesome player; but more importantly, she was a kind, loving and positive person. Pam was loved very much by many people and I am sure this brought her much comfort. We all know that God will reward her for being such a special person. My prayers will continue for your family.
