James Peter Cason
February 2, 1956-

Pete was born and raised in Harlingen, Texas to Betty McNamee Cason and the late Jim Cason. Pete spent all of his adult years in the Ft. Worth, Texas area. There, 26 years ago, he met and married Kathy Poole, the great love of his life and her two sons, Jared and Michael. Her family became his family and the love he had for them was immeasurable.
He is survived by his wife Kathy Cason, his son Jared Poole, wife Jaime and grandchildren Presley and Brady; his son Michael O'Brian, wife Teresa and grandchildren Iliana and Luis. Their love for Pete; husband, father and grandfather "Paw Paw" was unsurpassed.
Pete is also survived by his mother, Betty M. McIntosh, husband Bob and his sister Becca Cason Thrash and husband John F. Thrash, Aunt Kelly Wanda McNamee, special cousin Kyle Marburger and cousins Cason Southall, Shelly Harrison, Missy Marburger and an abundance of friends.
After three years of a brave and gallant fight with cancer he has left us to be with his Lord. He died peacefully surrounded by all of his family. God Bless him.
A memorial service will be held at: Clayton Kay Vaughan Funeral Home in Alvarado, Texas on Saturday, September 27th at 10am.

We are so sorry to learn of Pete's passing. We so enjoyed playing games with Pete & Cathy for several years. They were truly wonderful people and such a loving couple. We are left with happy memories of the time we spent with them both. Cathy, you will be in our thoughts and prayers. Pete & your "fur babies" will be waiting for you at the Rainbow Bridge.

Pete was such fun! I am deeply saddened by his loss for us all, but especially for his loving family! He gave wonderful hugs and he really listened and cared about others - it showed in his eyes and voice always!

Pete Cason was one of a kind. If you wanted to know what Pete thought just ask and you received the unvarnished truth according to Pete. The Cason house was a fun place to be when you were a kid. I personally met Y.A. Tittle, Bob Lily and countless other athletes, his grandfather was a professional race car driver!His mom a saint!Hang in there Betty, Cathy, Becca and the kids, Pete doesn't hurt anymore!
