Reynaldo Flores Obituary
Rey was raised and lived all his life in Houston, TX. He grew up to love the Astros, master the game of golf, take in a game or two of the Texans and often tried his luck at the craps or poker tables. Rey was a family man and amazing friend with a heart of gold. His second family is known as the Roadkill family. He took his passion for the games, and with his friends of over 25 years, they created a company softball team, golf team and fantasy football league. He will forever be known as "Chop 11" and "Rey Rey," aka Sancho. To the Roadkill family he was "a great dude, awesome friend, an average softball player and a below average golfer." Rey was loved beyond measure by all who knew him.
Rey is survived by his parents Reynaldo G. and Maria G. Flores, sister Carolyn (Joel Jaime) Salazar, brother Roman (Amanda) Flores, and sister Cynthia (Olie) Lopez, as well as his pride and joy, nieces Gabriella, Rebecca, Calli Raye, Celeste and nephew, Oliver. They will forever carry the love of their Tio Rey in their hearts. Rey is also survived by numerous uncles, aunts, cousins and extended family.
Viewing will be Thursday, March 4, 2021, with a public viewing from 2:00 p.m. to 8:00p.m.. Mass will be held Monday, March 8, 2021, at Sacred Heart Church in Mercedes at 9:00 a.m. Burial will immediately follow at 10:00 a.m at Ebony Grove Cemetery.
Please follow social distancing guidelines and wear your masks at all times. As much as the family would love to receive your hugs, it's important to provide safety for all.
Funeral arrangements are entrusted to Garcia & Trevino Funeral Home in Mercedes, TX.
