So sorry to know that Mr. Hernandez have left us. Do you ever wonder of wonderful people you previously met? Well now and then Mr. Hernandez would come to my mind when I would see a person that resembled him. As I read his obituary, now I know why he left a great impression of him with me. I worked as a secretary at HHS South and Mr. Hernandez was always so kind, attentative. I read the beautiful obituary and thank him and his family for the love and kindess he shared for the community. Boy, he contributed so much. God Bless You all and my condolences.

Sam you have been an Angel for sure right here with us. I can remember as far as elementary that you were looking out for God´s children. I too received a scholarship from the 100 Men´s Club at Immaculate Heart of Mary.
I know you made that happen and I am honored to have met you. At CCD I listened to all your incredible wisdom as you read the scripture to us.
Indeed you have need such a great Angel to so many.
My heart felt condolences to your family.
Thank you,
Most sincerely,
Carlos Valdez
Peace be with you.....

Please know that Sam will be remembered for many years to come, he was a great influence to our kids in CCD and young couples at Immaculate. We are forever grateful for his kindness and support to our young Catholics. Thank you Lydia for all you did but also for sharing such a wonderful man with our church community. He is not gone, he will be with you always.

I would like to offer my heartfelt condolences to the Hernandez family, may Mr. Hernandez lay at peace with our Heavenly father as he watches over his loved ones.
Many individuals knew Mr. Hernandez from the Immaculate Heart of Mary church community as I did, which one quote comes to mind when thinking of his act of kindness and loving gestures to his church community and specially with the youth. “Attention is the rarest and purest form of generosity”. -Simone Weil-
As I knew Mr. Hernandez from church community/family friend and volunteering throughout serial church functions such as ushering during the 10am Sunday mass, or during our fall festivals, and with 100’ men’s club events, Mr. Hernandez always made time to show is act of kindness through stopping to say hello and listen to the youth member’s thoughts and dreams of their future. He always wanted to know how I was doing when I was a young man as well to know what kind of course I was going to target for career goals. Mr. Hernandez always seem to have a positive view or knew how to give advance help one think outside of the box. As I know he help myself with scholarship for college from the 100’ men’s club, I know Mr. Hernandez played a big role in many lives through his career and as father, Husband and a friend. He will be very missed and there is no doubt that Mr. Hernandez has shown his rarest and purest generosity to the people around him as we all know he has touched many hearts, may you rest in peace but never be forgotten.

Mr. Hernandez held a great presence within the Immaculate Heart church family. He was always present and allowed us kids at the time to work the coolest job you can have at a church (usher). It was with great pride and joy I was able to pass out the offerings basket and stand in the back of the church feeling special. Mr. Hernandez mentored us and was always understanding. He would continue to ask my parents how we were all doing as we went from childhood to adulthood. It is with great sadness to hear the passing of Mr. Hernandez. Mr. Hernandez was always the first and last person to greet us with a smile and love. It was also a wonderful memory to have Mr. and Mrs. Hernandez as CCD teachers every Wednesday. He forever remains in my memories and heart as someone who made a positive impact on my life. Love and deep prayers are being sent to the family.
The Ortiz family sends love to the Hernandez family.

Mr Hernandez was a staple at Immaculate Heart. He was always there to greet us with a warm smile and genuine love. One of my best memories of him is when I used to be a lector as a kid. Mr Hernandez would see that I was nervous and he would put his hand on my shoulder and smile and tell me I was one of the best lectors and I had nothing to be worried about. Then, as I was up at the lecturn reading, I would look to the back of the church by the doors and would see Mr Hernandez clasping his hands as he always did when ushering, and smiling at me. He and Mrs Hernandez were the couple I admired and looked up to. I only pray that he is with Mrs Hernandez in spirit to help ease her pain because I know they were soul mates and inseparable. If I’m hurting and greaving his loss, I can’t imagine how she is doing right now. I do know thisheaven has received their greatest Angel. Keep watch over Mrs Hernandez, your family, and us Mr Hernandez. You will be greatly missed.

Hearing of Sam´s demise is so sad. My most sincere condolences to you and your son, Ross, and his family. You and Sam were so great with my kids as they were growing up and attending Mass, religious education classes and serving at Church. Any time that I would run into him, he asked about Chris and Becky. They enjoyed talking to both of you when they were in town and we ran into you two. Even Henry got a little bit of your wisdom and care when he briefly attended the little summer camp at Saint Anthony´s. Sam will be definitely missed. May our Lord, Jesus Christ, have him in his heavenly kingdom. RIP Dear Sam!

When finding out about the passing of Mr. Hernandez, I was surprised. I thought that he would live for a very long time teaching future students to be the best they can to follow the path of being great Catholics. I have known Mr. Hernandez since I was about 5 or 6 years old. It was through my grandmother that I met him and all the members of the 100 Mens Club. He was a great person to talk with and if you had questions, he or his wife, Mrs. Hernandez would answer them to the best of there knowledge. May god welcome him with open arms and have his spirit shine within every one of us.
