Sue Salazar Obituary

San Benito, Texas - Sue Ann (Susan) Salazar, 61, died Wednesday, January 5 in Harlingen, TX after a long battle with cancer.

A caring friend with a heart of gold, Susan was a loving nurse, adored by countless family, friends, patients, and strangers alike. She will surely be missed in death, but the perpetual light in her heart could shine in the darkest of rooms and undoubtedly will still be felt shining down from heaven above.

Susan was preceded in death by her mother, Phyllis Maldonado, and Diana Elizabeth Castro Soto.

Left to cherish her memories are her father: Juan Maldonado; her children: Mario (Judy Lee) Salazar, Tom (Desiree Garcia) Salazar, and Jacob Moreno; brother: Johnny (Jennifer) Maldonado; grandchildren: Kylie Sue Zapata, Janelle Salazar, and Jenasee Salazar; and nieces and nephews: Elliot (Ada) Maldonado, Eliu (Kristina) Maldonado, Leslie (Rey) Sanchez, Eric Soto, and Mark Soto.

At Susan's request, there will be no services. "Enjoy some 80's rock, a drink, and be happy."
