Tomas Carrasco Obituary
LA FERIA, TX. - Tomas Carrasco, 57, entered into rest Saturday, January 15, 2011.
Tomas is preceeded in death by his Grandmother/Mother Petra T. Silva, his uncle Gabriel Silva, his aunt Tomasa Trevino, and his cousins Linda Gonzalez and Rene Jimenez.
He is survived by his wife of 37 years, Maria Tovar Carrasco; his loving daughter, Victoria Carrasco (Marcos Saldana); son USMC Tomas Carrasco Jr.; his two grandaughters Selena and Sabrina Saldana; his mother Lucia S. Leija, sisters: Lucia (Roberto) Ochoa of Santa Rosa, TX; Gregoria Carrasco of Mercedes, TX; Matilde (Enrique) Treto of Norfolk, VA; Gracie (Gustavo) Munoz of Houston, TX; Maggie Leija of Florida; Anastacia Carrasco of Las Vegas, NV; brothers: Guadalupe Carrasco of Las Vegas, NV; Apolonio Carrasco of Harlingen, TX; Israel Leija of La Feria, TX; David Leija of La Feria, TX; Mario Carrasco of Baja, CA; Jesus Carrasco of Baja, CA; Miguel Carrasco of Baja, CA; Domingo Carrasco of Las Vegas, NV; Cesar (Rosi) Carrasco of Searchlight, NV; and Antonio (Sylvia) Carrasco of Las Vegas, NV, as well as his adopted brother Guadalupe "Tango" Silva of Weslaco, TX; and adopted sisters Rosa Jimenez of Weslaco, TX and Petra Garza of Austin, TX. Also surviving him are numerous cousins, nieces and nephews who all love and miss him dearly.
Funeral services will be held Monday January 17th 2011 departing the Rudy Garza Funeral Home at 1:15 for a 2:00 pm mass of christian burial at St. Mary's Catholic Church and interment will follow at Santo Nombre Cemetery in Santa Rosa.
Funeral arrangements are under the direction of Rudy Garza Funeral Home in La Feria.
