Floyd E. "Bud" Stivers

1929 - 2018

Floyd Eugene "Bud" Stivers, 89, passed away peacefully at his home on May 8, 2018, in Tallahassee, FL.

Bud, a beloved husband and father, was born on April 28, 1929, in Cherry Fork, Ohio to Hubert Bryan and Mabel Stivers. He served in the US Navy and was deployed overseas during the Korean War. He worked as a barber and was a resident of Venice for 37 years, and moved to Tallahassee in 2001, to be near his children and grandchildren.

He is survived by his wife of 54 years, Sue Ellen (Zimmerman); three children, H.B. Stivers (Marsha) of Tallahassee, Curt Stivers of Orlando, and Andy Stivers (Kristy) of Tallahassee; two grandchildren, Sela Stivers, Logan Stivers; a sister Mary Anne (Pete) Cox of Fairborn, OH; and many beloved nieces, nephews, and friends.

A Graveside Service will be held at the Tallahassee National Cemetery, located at 5015 Apalachee Pkwy, on Friday, May 25th at 10:00AM. The family would like to extend a special thank you to Big Bend Hospice for their loving care given to Mr. Stivers and his family.

In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to one of the following: Big Bend Hospice www.bigbendhospice.org or St. Jude Children's Research Hospital www.stjude.org.
