Richard Wilson Obituary

Mr. Richard Thomas Wilson, "Rich" died in Indianapolis, IN on March 6th, 2023, at the age of 87. Richard was pre-deceased by his wife of 65 years Teresa Kline Wilson of Philadelphia, PA.

He is survived by his Son Richard S. Wilson of Madison, FL; Daughter in Law Deb Wilson and his Granddaughters Stefanee Wilson, Heather Zagora Sompayrac and Grandson Bryan Zagora; Son Robert C. Wilson & Husband Adam Wilson of Indianapolis, IN & Son Thomas P. Wilson & Wife Elena Wilson of Orlando, FL. and his Granddaughters Diana & Fiona Wilson of Orlando, FL.

Richard was born on July 2, 1935 in Philadelphia, PA to his parents Timothy Wilson & Mildred

McDevitt Wilson. Richard graduated High School from Saint John the Baptist High School in 1953. He received a degree in Finance from the University of Pennsylvania. Richard lived with his family for nearly 30 years in West Caldwell, NJ area. Richard worked at Nabisco for 34 years starting out at the Philadelphia bakery as accounting clerk and achieved various duties and retired as a Vice President of National Accounts. His career was hallmarked by his sense of humor, leadership style and acumen. Richard spent some 30 years of retirement in Venice, FL with Teresa in the Waterford Golf Community and was President of the HOA for many years within the Waterford Golf community and a Deacon at Epiphany Cathedral Catholic church.

Rich was known for his sharp mind and an even sharper wit, which was always unholstered. He

enjoyed golfing on a regular basis, monthly bridge club with his dear friends & neighbors and just staying busy doing anything he could get his hands on to do. He enjoyed traveling with his beloved wife Terri, and spending time with their sons and grandchildren. He set a very high bar for his children to follow with his work ethic and drive for success. He made the time to coach some of his son's sport teams and there was no homework he could not solve with them. Richard embodied the true American success story of being the first in his Irish lineage born in America, working hard and going to night school and getting his degree from an Ivy League school while raising his family.
