Allen Baum Obituary

Allen Henry Baum of Camarillo, age 91, passed away peacefully on Thursday, June 14, 2012.

He was born on October 25, 1920 in Oxnard, Calif., to George W. and Edna S. Baum. He served proudly in the Navy aboard the U.S.S. Pennsylvania during World War II and was honorably discharged in 1944. He went on to become an engineer for FMC until retirement.

He will be reunited with his wife Dorothy and daughter Pat who predeceased him. He was also predeceased by his parents and sisters Phyllis and Audry. He leaves behind many nieces and nephews.

We will all miss him and his stories about pioneer life in Springville (now Camarillo) and on the Oxnard plain.

Graveside services will be held at Ivy Lawn Cemetery in Ventura at 2:00 p.m. on Tuesday, June 19, 2012.

A special thanks to the staff at Royal Gardens in Camarillo for the loving care he received while there for over 4 years.
