Amanda Pearsall, who was born in Ventura on May 2, 1988 and lived in Newbury Park, passed away Feb. 15, 2010. Our world has been turned upside down by the tragic loss of our beautiful girl at the young age of 21.
Amanda was a free spirit with a head of steel and a heart of gold. When she put her mind to it she could achieve whatever goal she pursued. As a youth she enjoyed sports such as softball and soccer. She prided herself on being a tough goalie and just dared any player to come near her goal. She was artistic, loved music and her family and friends, but most of all she adored her daughter Faith Ann.
A celebration of her life will be held at 2:30 p.m. on Monday, Feb. 22 at the First Christian Church of Newbury Park, 801 Knollwood Dr., Newbury Park.
A resident of Newbury Park her entire life, Amanda attended Banyan Elementary, Sequoia Jr. High and Newbury Park High.
Amanda leaves behind daughter, Faith Anne Pearsall; loving parents, Jim and Crystal Pearsall; brothers, Jason and Shain Smith; grandparents, Sherry and Bill Molinari, Charles and Tricia Bankston and Don Sedgley; and a large extended family of numerous aunts, uncles, and cousins that will forever miss her.
In lieu of flowers, consider a donation to a college trust in the name of Faith Anne Pearsall.

Amanda you will be missed by all Newbury Park. I still remember giving you a kiss in second grade, how could I not? You will always be a fellow bobcat, and whether or not we have seen each other recently, I know what kind of person you are, and I always loved you for it. My heart goes out to all her family and loved ones.

Our beautiful grandaughter will be missed. She always was a child of extremes be it sports, her family or any other thing that she cared about or wanted. Be at peace our darling.

Amanda was the first girl I ever loved..We both met at horrible times in our lives and I can't describe the kind of hope and joy she brought to my life..Absolutely beautiful, intellectual, very artistic..I fell in love. I hadn't talked to her in years when I finally got in contact with her 5 years later..I had honestly talked to her a week before..and when I saw her name in the papers I was crushed. She will be missed by all of us..No one can ever replace her...

I knew Amanda when she and my daughter Cassie went to Banyan. I remeber getting some shoes from her because she outgrew them and I wore a size 3 (she was in the 3rd grade). I saw her last year and she looked so happy and was excited about being a mom. That is how I wish to remember her. From myself, Cassie, Nickie, and Becca, we all give our prayers to her family and her daughter Faith.
