It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Armando Rivas, beloved husband, father and grandfather. He was called home to our Lord on Thursday, August 16, 2018, at the age of 67, following a brief battle with cancer.
Armando will be lovingly remembered by his wife of 47 years, Ventura and his children Michael (Karina) and Joseph (Whitney). He will be fondly remembered by his adoring grandchildren Michael, Andrew, Jayden, Zoey and Ezekiel. He leaves behind his devoted mother, Ofelia, four brothers and seven sisters. Armando will be forever remembered by his numerous nieces, nephews, extended family and dear friends. He was preceded in death by his father Adolfo Rivas, Sr.
The vigil and rosary will be held on Thursday, August 23 at Reardon Funeral Home in Oxnard from 5:00pm-9:00pm, with the rosary beginning at 7:00pm. A funeral Mass will take place on Friday, August 24 at 10:00am at Santa Clara Church. Internment will take place at Santa Clara cemetery immediately following the service.
Armando has been entrusted to the care of the family owned and operated Reardon Funeral Home, 511 North A St. Oxnard, www.reardonfh.com.

Nina, Michael, Joey and Family,
I am so sorry about the passing of Nino. I will treasure his friendship, love and always remember the laughs and fun times I shared with you both throughout all the years! Nina, remember Nino will always be with you, the boys and watching over the grandbabies. You were blessed with such a wonderful loving husband, father and grandfather.
Rest in Peace, Nino!
