Our beloved, Barbra Barbie (Holland) Metheny died on January 11, 2013 after a 16 month fight with brain cancer. She was born October 3, 1952 in Thomas Oklahoma to Vivian (Bourlier)Mullinax.

Barbra was a passionate and charismatic woman who had tremendous leadership talents and drive. She loved to entertain and as a master story teller, listeners would sit spellbound as she wove stories about the many life adventures she experienced. While most of her career was spent in agriculture, she was also a civil servant in Germany for an Army commander and worked in the legal industry for many years in Ventura County.
She was a State Vice President of the CA Jaycee Women's organization. As an avid dog lover, she was one of the founders of the Arbor Dog Park in Seal Beach, CA. She became caretaker to her mother,Vivian, until her death August 2011. 30 years in the agriculture business as a sales and marketing person, gave her a nickname,
The Lady Bug of Produce, a beneficial pest. She believed that agriculture was the backbone of the American economy. She was a member of the Produce Marketing Association for 26 years. She loved her family and friends, dearly and made everyone feel special. Barbra traveled around the world, fulfilling most of her dreams.
A loving and devoted wife, mother, grandmother and above all, a friend, will be missed greatly.

Barb was taken way too soon from this world . She had so much more to give , but maybe God needed someone to water the grass , or a ladybug .
She was the most enthousiastic , professional , consumate person I have ever met in the produce industry .She will be missed by all who knew her .
Randy and family , take heart that Barb is no longer suffering and that she's watching over you all . Cherish the wonderful memories you made together .
