Billie May Wagner went home to the Lord on March 16, 2011.
Billie was born Aug. 25, 1922 in Yuba City, Calif., to William and Lena F. (Turner) Marlow. She was an only child. She grew up in Marysville, Calif., attended Notre Dame Catholic School graduating in 1940. In her younger years, she loved to play tennis, swim, and skate. She would often go camping with her father to the Buttes, or camping on the beaches of Santa Barbara.
Her family relocated to Tonopah, Nev., where she met her future husband, Ted H. Wagner. They were married in Reno Aug. 3, 1944, and moved to Ventura. Billie attended Our Lady of Assumption Catholic Church and was an active member of the Pythian Sisters. She loved reading, sewing and needlepoint.
Billie had four children, Jon, DeNae, Loree and Claudette. She also had 10 grandchildren and 14 great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband, Ted, two daughters, DeNae and Claudette, and a granddaughter, Amy.
Billie moved to Longview in 2006 and made her residence there until her death. She always remarked how she loved to see the different seasons and their unique features. All who knew Billie will miss her kindness, her gentleness, and sweet smile. She truly made the world around her a better place. A memorial service will be held at a later date.

I will always remember Billie, who lived across the street from my grandparents, Mary and Al Mottola, she was so nice to me and my sister, she was almost like a second grandmother to us, so loving and kind. And the 4th of July get togethers we had on the street with her family and ours. You will be missed Billie.

I will always remember her sweet smile and merry eyes. Met her and Mr. Ted Wagner as customers of Bank of America #250 Ventura, years ago. They both will be remembered fondly. My prayers go out to the family.
