Brenden Vega Obituary
Brenden Michael Vega of Ventura was born on April 23, 1991 in Sylmar, CA and passed away on Monday, March 17, 2014 in Montecito, CA in a hiking accident, while trying to obtain help for an injured friend. He was 22 years old.
He moved to Ventura County from Fallon, NV at the start of Middle School. He attended Anacapa Middle School, Buena High School and then graduated from El Camino High School in 2009. After graduating from high school, he attended classes at Ventura College.
While in Fallon, NV he was involved in a cooking club through the 4-H organization. This helped to promote his passion for cooking.
He played the Viola in the string orchestra during middle school and high school. He also attended Ventura Baptist Church and was involved in their youth program.
During high school he worked at Papa John's which began his love of pizza making. He carried his love over to Domino's Pizza in 2011 starting as a Delivery Person in Meiners Oaks, CA and worked his way up to General Manager of the upper State Street Domino's Pizza in Santa Barbara, CA. He found great joy in his work for Domino's Pizza.
He had been an avid bowler since the age of 8, and had considered becoming a certified bowling instructor to help others find the joy in bowling.
Brenden had many loves including cats, pizza, playing the bass (which he taught himself to do), hiking, going on adventures, and his friends.
He was a kind and generous young man with a great sense of humor and always available to lend a helping hand.
He is survived by his parents, Sal and Nikki Attinello, grandma, Mary Ann Vega, brothers, Cody Chrisman and Sal Attinello, his uncle and aunt, Chris and Mary Vega, cousin, Nikkie Kephart, and numerous friends.
He will now be joining his great grandparents, and his beloved cat Tabby, whom he loved deeply.
The family will be at a loss without him, and will honor him by living each day to the fullest as Brenden always had.
A celebration of life honoring Brenden will be held on Saturday, March 29, 2014 at 10 a.m. at Ventura Baptist Church, 5415 Ralston Street, Ventura, CA 93003.

I just watched the story of Brenden and Saylor. I cried when I watched it, and I'm crying again now. He seemed like a wonderful young man, someone who was taken far too soon. I've seen so many of these stories, but this one is sticking with me. Such a terrible tragedy. RIP Brenden.

I have had the great pleasure of calling Brenden a teammate and a friend for several years. He and I always made sure that no matter what, we all had fun in the end and left the lanes smiling. The world is a dimmer place without him.
I know we both pushed each other to be better at both bowling and living. I'm glad I got to know him like I have.

I know that he must have been a kind and gentle person with a generous heart just by the action he took on that day he lost his life.
