Cathy Daily Obituary
Cathy Daily passed away June 11, 2014 after battling pancreatic cancer. She died peacefully at home, surrounded by family. She was born Cathleen Lynn Vollmert on August 12, 1956 in Oxnard, California.
Cathy is survived by her husband Duane, her son Jeff and his wife Isabel, two granddaughters, Cali, age 3, and Jade, age 2, her mother Barbara, two brothers, Mike and Dave Vollmert, and sister, Ellen Ward, and an extended family of in-laws, cousins, nieces and nephews, all of whom were with her in her last days.
Cass (as she was known to family and friends) was adventurous and loved life, and recently retired after working 38 years at Point Mugu Naval Air Station. She enjoyed quilting. Many of us have a beautiful remembrance of her in the form of a handmade quilt. She enjoyed camping trips with her husband in their travel trailer. She loved her pets - two dogs and two cats, some of them rescued from the local animal shelter.
A memorial service will be held at the Griffin Family Mortuary in Camarillo on Saturday, June 21 at 10 a.m. The family requests that in lieu of flowers a donation be made in her name to the Pancreatic Cancer Action Network at pancan.org.

Cathy was a childhood friend of mine. We attended school together. She was always laughing and fun to be around. We had sleepovers, and one time she sleepwalked into my parent’s closet! We all had a good laugh about that! So sorry for your loss ❤

I remember Cathy from Point Mugu, and she was always nice, but I haven't seen her her many years. I worked closely with Duane and shared many good and bad times, so for that I feel his pain in the loss of his wife. My prayers are with the Daily family for healing and understanding of the cycle of life.

I have such great memories of Cathy, we used to have slumber parties almost every weekend. The scary stories we told, the many games we played, always will be remembered. Although we lost touch, I will remember the good times we had, my condolences to her family

My best friend for almost 30 years. We collected some awesome memories together. I always admired your wit and magnetic personality. It always made people smile. I will miss you so so much, Cass. I cannot say good-bye but I will say "Until we meet again".

I knew Cathy in she High School years and kept in touch with her, however ocassionally.
She is remember by me with always having an infectious smile and an "I am game" attitude. There was always a place in her heart for me as she will hold a piece of mine always until we meet again.
