Daniel Gray Obituary
Oxnard, CA
Lifelong Ventura County resident, Daniel "Dan" B Gray, 58, of Oxnard died after battling several medical conditions, including diabetes.
Danny loved sports, having played men's softball, basketball, bowling and golf. He enjoyed golfing the most, especially with his son, Chris. He would make every attempt to play at least 9 holes even when he wasn't feeling good.
Danny always enjoyed being the life of the party. Cracking jokes and making up funny stories about anything and everyone, all in good humor. His friends would often ask him to repeat old stories over and over. Each story funnier than the last.
He retired from P & G in 2012 after 19 years of service.
He is survived by his wife of 35 years, Kathy; son, Chris; daughter, Lisa and step son, John. Granddaughters, Analyse, Hazel Marie, and Vanessa. Brother, Dewayne and nephew, DeWayne, Jr. and nieces, Nichole and Martha. Half brothers, George and Kenneth Reddell and nieces, Desirae and Courtney. Aunt, Georgia Sage and family and Aunt Peggy Gray and family.
He is preceded in death by his father, Bruce and mother, Mavis. Also, grandparents, Arnold and Hazel. Uncle Gene Sr, and Cousin Gene Jr and Aunt Joyce.
SERVICE will be under the care of Charles Carroll Funeral Home, 15 Teloma Dr in Ventura on Monday, June 6th, 2016 at 5:30 pm.
CELEBRATION OF LIFE will be at Yolanda's, 1601 Victoria Ave in Oxnard, Monday, June 6th, 2016 at 7:00pm.
RSVP by Saturday, June 4th via email to [email protected]. Optional dress attire: Bright Orange (Dan's favorite color).

Dewayne and family,
My heart broke to hear of Dannys passing. I was so fortunate to meet this tall, handsome senior, my freshman year. Soon after, he became my first boyfriend. Danny was always the perfect gentleman who taught me so many wonderful things. I remember him always trying to shelter me from the evils of high school life. He most certainly left this world a better place. The memories of our time spent together will forever be in my heart.

My condolences to the family. Dan and I worked together at P&G. He had a great sense of humor and would crack jokes every time we spoke. I remember the newspaper clippings and pictures of his son above his desk as he was especially proud of his golfing accomplishments.
