Passed away January 2, 2019 in Thousand Oaks, CA. Born March18, 1958 in Georgia, daughter to Truman Carl Puchbauer and Margaret Karen Puchbauer. She grew up in Oregon and loved swimming and riding horses with 3 sisters and brother. Graduated Valedictorian from Union High in 1976 and earned a BA in Sociology from Southern Oregon State. Married Bernard Corwin and raised two daughters. They ventured to Newbury Park, CA, her home of over 25 years.
Traveller, soul-seeker, skilled graphic designer, marketing executive who inspired others with creativity. She swam fearlessly into the wild Pacific and danced! Loved being a mother. She hoped for a positive future and too early her soul has passed. We take comfort knowing she is at peace. Survived by daughters Angelina Corwin (1983) and Natalie Corwin (1989); father Truman, (mother Karen passed in 2015); Sisters Janis Kerrigan, Trish Wegert, Diane Puchbauer and brother Jim Puchbauer. Fondly loved and remembered by first husband Bernard. Cherished by friends old and new who will miss her deeply. Family is planning a memorial service to celebrate her kind spirit and our enduring love for Denise. This will be at United Methodist Church in Westlake Village Saturday February 16th at 2PM.

Denise was a beautiful , creative and spiritual soul. She was my close friend for many years and will be deeply missed. There are no words to express my sadness at her passing. My heart goes out to her family and friends. I hope they take comfort in knowing she is finally at peace. Her spirit lives on and touches all who were connected to her soul. She is forever in my heart.
