Evelin Macias of Oxnard, was called home to her Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ on February 10, 2015, surrounded by her loved ones. She was born on October 31, 1976. Evelin was an incredible woman of faith. Her perseverance and determination was a powerful testimony of her faith.
Evelin saw obstacles as opportunities to give glory to God. Despite the difficulties she faced, she never complained, instead she committed to stay positive, full of faith, and encouragement. Evelin enrolled in nursing school, despite many critics that said she shouldn't. Evelin tuned out critics and was focused on the goal. There were many accomplishments Evelin completed and of the best was raising her beautiful daughter, as a strong young lady of faith.
Evelin looked at adversity in the face and was never shaken, instead she stood strong on God's word, always quoting her favorite scripture, "I can do ALL things through Christ who strengthens me", Philippians 4:13. Evelin was never ashamed to share with others that her strength was found in her Lord and Savior. Evelin had a heart to serve others. She strongly believed that we all have been given talents by God, to serve others. She desired to make a difference in people's lives, and she did. Evelin often prayed for others while she, herself, was overcoming.
Evelin is preceded in death by her father, Alfredo Macias. She is survived by her daughter Asia, mother, Lupe Macias, brother, Alfredo Macias Jr. and long-time sweetheart, Joe Chairez.
Viewing will take place on Saturday, February 21, 2015 at 9:00 a.m., followed by a service to celebrate her life at 10:00 a.m., at the Miracle Center Church, 5105 Walker St., Ventura, CA. Lupe,
Siento mucho que se te haya ido tu hija. En ti vi una madre amorosa y dedicada a tu hija y nieta.
Muere el sol en los montes, pero Dios nunca muere y ella esta con Dios.
