To the family of Lupe Mendez Solis:
I was very sad to hear of Lupe's passing. I first knew her in the 6th grade at the Mountain View School and continued to have her as a classmate until the 12th grade. We graduated from Fillmore High in 1951 along with her brother Robert Mendez. Throughout the years that I knew Lupe, I came to know that she was a kind hearted, a caring person and a good friend and classmate. I admired her for her wit and intelligence. With much love, a fellow classmate, Lupe Villanueva Vasquez
