Jeannette Nelson Obituary

Jeannette "Jan" K. Nelson

Westlake Village, CA

Jan was born on September 28, 1937 and died after a brief illness on November 23, 2015. She joined her husband Jack, son Eric, dog Lovey and many other relatives in heaven. She is survived by daughter Kimberly (Kim) Nelson and her "adopted kids" Sue Jennett and Barry Ramey; brothers Kirk Kingsbury, Brad Kingsbury, sister Pam Kingsbury, sister in-law Patsy Kingsbury and their spouses and children.

Jan was a great cook and loved gardening and hosting large holiday gatherings for family and friends. She spent most of her life living in Oxnard, CA where she worked in the medical field and also was very active with the First Presbyterian Church. She made friends wherever she went and didn't know a stranger. More people called her mom than we can count.

Special thanks to Dr. Bader Iqbal and South Valley Hospice for their care and assistance.

Jan has been entrusted to the care of the family owned and operated Reardon Funeral Home, 511 North A st. Oxnard, www.reardonfh.com

My heartfelt sympathy to you, Kim, and all of Jeannette's family. I worked with Jeannette several years ago when I lived in Oxnard. She was a wonderful friend whose warmth and kindness I will remember always. God bless you, dear Jeannette. May you rest in peace.

I remember your family living next to my grandmother for many years on Lakehurst in Oxnard. Your mother was very kind and sweet. May she rest in peace.
