Jerry B. Goldman, 62, of Thousand Oaks died suddenly on July 30. Beloved husband of Harriet. Dear father of Phillip and Katrin Goldman, Erik and Lilybeth Goldman, and Brooke and Dean Ekdahl. Dearest grandpa (champs) of Nova, Hunter, Von and Tora. Devoted son-in-law of Harold and Rita Zaff. Brother of Karen Brenner and Jan Emmer, and brother-in-law of Susie and Michael Bierman. Services will be held Thursday, August 6, at 10 am at Pierce Brothers Valley Oaks-Griffin Mortuary, 5600 Lindero Canyon Rd Westlake Village, CA.

To Harriet and the family,
Jerry was the same giving, generous friend to me as to his family. Our days as Hams were filled with camaraderie and Jerry being there for any who needed help. I remember his getting a new Iphone and proudly showing us the new grandchild. He was a mensch and stood tall. I will pray for him and never forget him.

Jerry was committed to his community and emergency services in particular. He was a great educator, leader, mentor and inspired many to take the next step through his natural sense of humor, sense of duty, friendship, and loyalty. Above all, he shone with his obvious love of his family and close friends, which reflected the heart of a giant. He will be fondly remembered and sadly missed.
