I became friends with John at a local donut shop many years ago. We shared many times on the golf course and also the little course at his mobile home park. He was a great friend and he would do anything for another. He always called me "Gary" don't know why, must have been for some reason, but never found out why. I'll miss you good buddy. Not going to be the same at the donut shop without you. Rest in Peace my friend. Greg

RIP John...now you can breathe freely and swing the club like tiger. I met john 14-yrs ago at Winchell's Donut shop in Camarillo and clearly remember him initiating the conversation and joking around, just making me laugh. We both loved the game of golf and that was the beginning of a 14 year friendship on and off the course. I knew he was a good player the 1st time we played as his drives were straight and 200 yards or more, but we never cared about the score, rather just having a good time. He always said work comes 1st and you can always golf when you retire, never pressured me to golf with him. I will always have a lot of good memories of our golf games, joking around, our ribbing of each other, insults, crude remarks towards each other, but all in good fun.
you were definitely one of a kind and a good friend and golf bud. you will definitely be missed, thoughts and prayers to you and your family. sincerely, Mark Kotake and family.

I am so sorry to hear about John. I met John on the golf course 20+ years ago and been friends ever since then. John was a very likable man. He was a great handyman too anytime I had plumbing problems I would call him & he would get the job done. I will miss seeing him at Doris panadea bakery where I would see him almost every morning drinking his coffee & reading his newspaper. I will miss John he was a great man!. My prayers & thoughts are with you and your family. Sincerely, Pete Martinez & family
