Art passed away from cancer on December 11 with his family at home. He was born to John and Mercedes Salka on December 5, 1939 in Bunola, PA.
He is survived by his wife and best friend Phyllis. He had one brother Butch, and sisters Karen and Jennifer. Phyllis and Art had three children, Cheryl, Cathy, and Duane. Eleven grandchildren, Branden, Corey, Ashley, Danny, Janel, Chad, Aimee, Jacob, Joshua, Cody and Ryan. Three great-grandchildren, Rheanna, Tasia and Kadence. Other family members include Amy Salka, Mike Coronado, Mario Torres, and many nieces and nephews.
Art retired from Fillmore Piru Citrus Association as Plant Engineer. He is at peace.
He will be cremated. There will be no service. A celebration of his life will be held January 22, at 12 noon at the family's home. For further details contact Duane Salka; [email protected].

We'll surely miss Art & are deeply saddened by his sudden loss...but have many fond memories of working on many golf tournaments together & recall his many contributions to the Citrus Industry. Our sincere symphathy goes to his family.
