To the Garcias,
I was devastated to learn that Joey had died. I will always remember him as a lively third grader, a force on the football field and a wonderful person. Its been a long time since I've seen him but I'll always remember his spirit, his zest for life and the love he had for everyone.
I'll miss him but know he's waiting for us all up in heaven, ready with a big hug!
All my sympathy,

Dear Garcia Family,
I am deeply saddened by the news I received today on Joseph's passing. I met Joseph my freshman year at Moorpark High and my fondest memories was what a generous man with a sense of humor that could liven any room he entered. There was never a bad bone in his body and had many friends that will miss him greatly. I am one of them. It still seems like yesterday that he was trying to talk me into writing a term paper for him. To his family; he was a well admired and respected young man that was taken from us too soon. My prayers go out to his family at this hard time.

To my dearest family, some things I'd like to say...
but first of all, to let you know, that I arrived okay.
I'm writing this from heaven. Here I dwell with God above.
Here, there's no more tears of sadness; here is just eternal love.
Please do not be unhappy just because I'm out of sight.
Remember that I'm with you every morning, noon and night.
That day I had to leave you when my life on earth was through,
God picked me up and hugged me and He said, "I welcome you."
It's good to have you back again; you were missed while you were gone.
As for your dearest family, they'll be here later on.
I need you here badly; you're part of my plan.
There's so much that we have to do, to help our mortal man.
God gave me a list of things, that he wished for me to do.
And foremost on the list, was to watch and care for you.
And when you lie in bed at night, the day's chores put to flight.
God and I are closest to you....in the middle of the night.
When you think of my life on earth, and all those loving years
because you are only human, they are bound to bring you tears.
But do not be afraid to cry; it does relieve the pain.
Remember there would be no flowers, unless there was some rain.
I wish that I could tell you all that God has planned.
But if I were to tell you, you wouldn't understand.
But one thing is for certain, though my life on earth is o'er.
I'm closer to you now, than I ever was before.
There are many rocky roads ahead of you and many hills to climb;
but together we can do it by taking one day at a time.
It was always my philosophy and I'd like it for you too...
that as you give unto the world, the world will give to you.
If you can help somebody who's in sorrow and pain,
then you can say to God at night......"My day was not in vain."
And now I am contented....that my life has been worthwhile,
knowing as I passed along the way, I made somebody smile.
So if you meet somebody who is sad and feeling low,
just lend a hand to pick him up, as on your way you go.
When you're walking down the street, and you've got me on your mind;
I'm walking in your footsteps only half a step behind.
And when it's time for you to go.... from that body to be free,
remember you're not going.....you're coming here to me.

Dear Garcia Family:
I first met Joseph when we were 10 years old when we played together on the Braves in little league! That year I not only met him but your guys' entire family because you were always very involved in everything your kids were doing! I felt very comfortable around you guys and you were always very, very hospitable to not only myself but everyone that touched your lives! Joseph always had a smile on his face and seemed to bring that same smile out in everyone he met. My heart goes out to you Lori especially, but also to Jenny, Steven, Sarah and your entire family! Lori, my mom also sends her deepest sympathies to you. May you all find strength and hold your memories of Joseph very close to your hearts....
RIP Joseph!

I don't even know where to begin. I am truly sorry for your tragic loss. I have known Joseph since my freshman year at Moorpark High when we went to homecoming together. Since then we became great friends and he was someone I always looked up to. Wether it was going to a Dodger game or just hanging out at the house, he always knew how to make the night memorable. He was like the older brother that I never had. I miss him very much and he will never be forgotten.
-Miss you and love you Jo.

Joseph and I dated off and on for a 2 years and I became very close with him and his family, they accepted me as one of their own. He was definately the man of the house and could ALWAYS put a smile on your face no matter how bad of a day you had. He was an extremely generous man and was always the life of the "party". He was good to everyone and was definately a family man. No matter what they went through Joseph was always there giving everyone the strength and support they needed. Joseph, I will never forget South Carolina, Big Bear, Sarah's 15th birthday party, and just hanging out in your room. I will forever love you and miss you, I know you are looking down on us....I will see you later up there in that mansion in the sky.
R.I.P. JOSEPH
I LOVE YOU

To Joseph's family:
I met Joseph in my freshman year in high school, and right away he excepted me and we became friends. Like his loving mother Lori, he was very humble and hospitable. He welcomed me into his home and eventually as a part of his family. I considered Joey my best friend and my brother, and i will miss his presence around me. I will never forget the times we had together, and the impact he has had on my life. The last time i spent with Joseph was when we went to Sushi Planet, to eat our favorite sushi.
I love you Joseph and will never forget you, and will see you in Heaven soon.
