Jules Lester Rabalais was born on March 30, 1938, and entered heaven's gates on June 27, 2013, after a brief illness.
Jules owned Lais'Arts Jewelers here in Simi Valley from 1977 to 1990, and was very much involved in the community. Jules was a master jeweler whose hobbies included hunting, target shooting, fishing and photography.
Jules was predeceased by his loving daughter, Angela. Jules is survived by his wife of 37 years, Donna Schwinck; daughters, Sharrie Shannon (Brian) and Machell Pont (Ray); son, Damien; three grandchildren and five great-grandchildren.
A memorial service will be held on Monday, July 8, at 1 p.m. at Rose Family Funeral Home, 4444 Cochran St, Simi Valley, Calif. 93063. Rabbi Michele Paskow will officiate the service.

Dear Donna and family, Condolences from the Brody and Butts families. We have fond memories of Jules, as well as beautiful jewelry pieces that he created. I remember some fun times working with him in Lais'Arts Jewelers in the late 70's. We are thinking of you at this most difficult time.
