A Sparkle and A Smile That Will Never Fade

On Monday, February 15th, 2016, Heaven welcomed a beautiful angel, Leigh Jensen, age 61, of Camarillo. She was an incredible wife to husband Stanley Jensen and a beloved mother to Dawn Miskulin (Husband Chad), Sean Payne, Matthew Jensen (Wife Victoria), and Kelly Watson. Leigh was an adoring Grandmother to Haylee, Lacey, Sydney, and Hunter, and loved her precious dog 'Winkie'. Leigh also leaves behind her Brother Larry Brown (Wife Elizabeth), her sister's son, Emmett Lozano, and her beloved Aunts, nephews and nieces, cousins, and dear friends. She was preceded in death by her father, Harry Gruwell, her mother, Marian, and her sister Gaile.

Leigh was born in Rapid City, South Dakota on March 22, 1954, and grew up in both Pollock Pines and Placerville, California. She attended El Dorado High School in Placerville and graduated from Adolfo Camarillo High School, where she spent her senior year, in 1972. Leigh settled in Camarillo in 1974 and has been a force in the community ever since.

Married to her best friend for 38 years, Leigh and Stan shared a lifetime of adventures and love. Her kids and grandkids were her world and brought Leigh her greatest joy. She was the most devoted wife and mom, and always put her family first, giving them her time and unwavering support in everything they did.

A woman of faith, Leigh took comfort in knowing The Lord was with her. She had a contagious amount of love and enthusiasm for life, and never let anything get her down. Leigh had the most wonderful smile and laugh, finest attention to detail, and the most generous heart. She loved more than anything to spend time with her family, near and far, and always made the effort to reach out and stay close with everyone. In everything she did, she was thinking of others, from small thoughtful gestures to lending her help in as big a way as she could. She did everything she could to make good times better and hard times easier for those she loved.

Leigh loved country music, sipping her Starbucks lattes with friends, playing 'the max bet' on the slots in Vegas, vacationing with her family in Cabo and Hawaii, cruising the world with Stan, and of course...shopping! She donated her time and creative talents to a number of organizations that were near and dear to her, including Child Help, Casa Pacifica and PAW Works, for whom she was also a board member.

Her family and closest friends are so proud of the way that she fought for the life she loved so much. She never complained, continued to laugh and make them laugh, and impressed everyone with her strength and will.

Her memorial service will take place at Conejo Mountain Funeral Home and Memorial Park, 2052 Howard Road, Camarillo CA 93012 on Saturday, March 5th, at 11:00am.

All are welcome to attend and Leigh has requested that everyone wear PINK in her honor! Find your best pink accessories and attire (men too!)...Leigh said that she wanted her party to be light and bright!

The service will immediately be followed by a Celebration of Leigh's life at Spanish Hills Country Club. 999 Crestview Ave, Camarillo CA 93010
