Lora Robertson Obituary

Lora "Camille" Robertson

Oxnard, CA

Lora "Camille" Robertson, age 84, of Oxnard, California, passed away on January 2, 2018 due to complications of COPD.

A Celebration of her life will be held February 10, 2018 at 1:00pm at the North Oxnard United Methodist Church, 1801 North Joliet Place, Oxnard, CA 93030. Reverend Rick Pearson will be presiding.

Cam, as she was known to everyone, was born in Shreveport, Louisiana on June 25, 1933. She worked at the Strawberry Patch Preschool for over 20 years before her illness slowed her down. She was also a writer and had written several scripts, short stories and, because she was a Lay speaker for her church, she often wrote her sermons.

Cam was a supporter of St. Judes Research Hospital. She felt compelled to support those families who were struggling to get through their child's illness and was extremely grateful to have healthy children and grandchildren.

Cam is survived by 2 daughters, 5 grandchildren, and 6 greatgrandchildren, and many other immediate and extended family and friends.

In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital, 501 St. Jude Place, Memphis, TN 38105 or online at stjude.org/donate. Please reference memorial ID number 11204128.
