Manuel V. Delgado, 82, died April 13, 2018, at home peacefully surrounded by his wife, daughters and grandchildren. He was born August 2, 1935 in Ventura California, the son of Julio and Carmen Delgado. He is survived by his loving wife Gloria of 61 years, daughters Arlene Mazza (Scott), Barbara Chavez, Diana Tovar (Steve), Eva Palazuelos (Rodolfo J.), Veronica Ucan (Roberto), 16 grandchildren, 12 great-grandchildren, brother Raymond V. Delgado and numerous nieces and nephews. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his son Benjamin Delgado, siblings Frank, Julio and Stella Delgado. Manuel was a devout Catholic and generously donated his time to Catholic charities. Manuel enjoyed spending time with family, working in his garden, reading and watching and going to Dodger games.
Our family would like to thank Livingston memorial visiting nurses, especially Dan, Jackie, Kate and Hugo for their excellent and compassionate care.
Our dad was so grateful that his very last words were to Dan, thanking him and offering him a chair so he could sit and rest. Rosary and mass will be held at Santa Clara Mortuary Chapel 2370 North H Street Oxnard, CA on Friday April 20, 2018 at 10:00am.
