After the war they relocated to Grand Junction, Colorado where Richard worked for the Burroughs Corporation as a business machine repair technician.
Margarets interests included sewing, reading, writing, and she won a number of nation-wide slogan writing contests in the 1950s.
In 1957 the family moved to San Luis Obispo, where husband Richard earned a degree in Electrical Engineering from Cal Poly. During those years, Margaret worked for the county as an administrator, while focusing on raising her children and supporting her husbands academic goal.
In 1961 the family then moved to the Los Angeles area where husband Richard began a 25-year career in the Aerospace industry. During their time in Los Angeles, Margaret worked in the the retail credit business. Upon retirement, she and her husband relocated to Corvallis, Oregon in 1990, and lived there for two years, followed by another move to Vancouver, Washington.
Margie moved to Camarillo in 2000 after Richards death, and enjoyed living in Leisure Village, where she was close to her family, and pursued various interests, including the Gardening Club and learning computer skills.
