Margie Ortiz Obituary
In Loving Memory of our "Margie" Margarita Ortiz. With great sadness Margie left us to be with the Lord and our beloved ones that also have passed.
Margie is survived by her family, her husband, Gaspar; her kids, Simon, Theresa, Lil Gaspar, Estevan and Vanessa Ortiz; her mother, Alicia; father and mother-in-law, Martin and Anjela Ortiz; sisters, Laura and Aldo, Lilia and Jorge, and Jasmin and Sergio; brothers, Ramiro and Richard; and all her nieces and nephews: Annette and Alex, Salvador and Danae, Albert and Jackie, Jasmin, Natalie, Inez, Alicia, Stephanie, Ruby, Lil Ramiro, Daniel, Isaac, Ismael, Citlali and the Lil ones Luna, Violet and baby Alex.
My mom was the most beautiful person in the world and will always be in our hearts. She taught us to be strong and never give up! She always took care of her family before herself and for that she will always be with us! Love you Always! Miss You Mom!
Visitation for Margie will be from 4 to 8 p.m. on Wednesday, April 6, at Santa Clara Mortuary, 2370 North H St., Oxnard, Vigil/Rosary will be recited at 6:30 p.m. Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 10 a.m. on Thursday, April 7, at Our Lady of Guadalupe Church, 500 N. Juanita Avenue, Oxnard. Burial will follow at Santa Clara Cemetery. Santa Clara Mortuary, 805-485-5757.

My condolences to the Ortiz family. I had the pleasure of meeting this beautiful soul. As co-workers we spent over 8 hours a day together she was part of my everyday life. She would greet me every morning with a smile and happy attitude. She was always smiling and full of life. I thank God for the opportunity to have had her in my life for the time that I did. My deepest felt sympathy for the Ortiz Family, Margie was a angel on earth.

Today was a very hard day for many, but unimaginable for your family Margie. It almost seems surreal! At times like a dream that I and many think we will awaken. You were a very kind hearted woman, never forgetting where you came from, and obviously loved by many!! I take comfort in seeing how your little Vanessa is SO MUCH like you and I know she along with her other siblings, will help keep the harmony and joy that you alway brought to them alive in your home and in their daily lives from here forward. I will take with me the hug you gave me at the mall last I saw you and keep it along with your kind words of my mother close always in a special place in my heart. You always thought of others over yourself, very unselfish might I say!! Gonna miss you dearly!!

Margie, I just want you to know that I will always carry you in my heart, I will treasure all of our memories together. You have been more than a friend to me but a big sister, always watching out for me. You proved time and time again how loyal you were and though we lost touch at times you always managed to get ahold of me again. This is very hard for me my heart hurts but I am comforted in knowing you are no longer suffering or in pain and I know you are an angel watching over me now. We have been through some things together laughing crying getting married having kids, birthday parties, growing up together ....I will miss you so much but this is only temporary we will see each other soon;) You are one of a kind, genuine, always had an ear to hear others (other centered) you were truly a role model of a beautiful daughter,sister,mother and wife. I had the great fortune to get to know Margie over the last seven years as the teacher to three of her children. It was such a pleasure to see her devotion to her children and family. You could see the love and respect that the kids had for her. She attended every school function with fidelity. She participated in her children's life and served as a wonderful role model, not only as a person, but a woman with integrity. I only hope some day that when I become a mother that I can be half a wonderful as she. To her children, your mother was a special woman. I feel priveledged to have known her and been a part of your family's life. My prayers are with you during this difficult time. God Bless.

Our prayers and thoughts are with the Ortiz/Silva families. Gaspar and kids you were so blessed to have Margie every single day of your lives. She was an amazing person, like no other. The times I spent with her either at my brother's, my mom's, camping, my brother's kids parties, baby showers so many things, I loved talking to her. She always brought a sense of peace.
