Marie passed away peacefully on Sunday, April 10.
Marie was born in Santa Barbara, a third-generation California girl. Growing up she went to dance classes, hung out at the beach, played tennis, and cruised around town with her friends. After high school Marie started working as a bookkeeper, and eventually moved to Ventura. Here she met George Vujea, got married, and started a family. Marie was always supportive of her husband and children. She was there for all the company picnics, the school plays and the sporting events. She was a loving, caring mother and a wonderful friend. Her life was filled with kindness and generosity. Marie donated countless hours of her time to fundraising committees. Whether she was shucking corn, flipping burgers or working Bingo, she did it all with a smile and a lot of laughter.
Marie is survived by her children, Chris, Terri and Michael. She will be greatly missed by all who knew her.
A memorial service will be held at 10 a.m. on Friday, April 15, at the Joseph Reardon Funeral Home, 757 E. Main Street in Ventura.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in her name to St. Bonaventure High School in Ventura. Marie was entrusted to the care of the family owned Joseph Reardon Funeral Home, 643-8623.

Dear Chris, Terri and Mike,
I met your Mom when I was at Santa Clara High. She was efficient, kind and full of patience! We became friends and eventually correspondents when I left Ventura. She always prayed for me and I appreciated that! I will miss her. May she rest in peace. Love, Sister Patrice McGee, CSC

Chris, Terri and Mike I was so sad to hear about Marie's passing. I cherish the years we worked together at SCHS and the friendship that continued after. She was a great person and so much fun. She will be missed. My thoughts and prayers go out to all of you but knowing that she is in a better place is comforting.
