Myra Vega Garcia

Oxnard - Myra Garcia (Ms. Garcia) peacefully passed on April 11, 2021 at the age of 42 years due to many health conditions. Two of the many medical conditions were endometrial cancer and sepsis. She was born on November 30, 1978 in Port Hueneme, CA to Jose V. Garcia and Rosa V. Garcia. She was the most caring and loving sister to Janet Rodriguez and Yvonne Garcia. Myra became a wonderful and affectionate wife to Isael Delgado on July 7, 2007. She was also the best sister-in-law to Eduardo Rodriguez.

As a child, Myra loved playing teacher with her sisters. This led Myra to follow her passion of becoming a teacher. She received her bachelors in Liberal Studies from CSUN in 2001. Shortly after, she worked at Elm Elementary School for 3 years. Myra then moved on to teaching Language Arts and ELD at Fremont Junior High School in which she taught for 17 years. In 2017, Myra was honored by the Anacapa Masons at the Annual Public School Observance Night. Myra loved all of her students and had a great passion of teaching them all. She treated her students as her own and wanted to see them succeed. Myra loved helping others and touched many hearts. We all know that Myra is very happy for all the support and love she is still receiving today. May she rest in peace!

Visitation will be held on Friday, April 23, 2021 from 4pm to 6:30pm with a rosary to begin at 7:00pm at the Garcia Mortuary Chapel, 629 South A Street in Oxnard. A Funeral Mass will be celebrated on Saturday, April 24, 2021 at 10:00am at St. Anthony's Church, 2511 South C Street in Oxnard. Interment to follow at Santa Clara Cemetery 2370 North H Street in Oxnard.

Dos de las muchas condiciones médicas fueron cáncer de endometrio y sepsis. Nació el 30 de noviembre de 1978 en Port Hueneme, CA a José V. Garcia y Rosa V. Garcia. Ella era la hermana más cariñosa y amorosa de Janet Rodríguez e Yvonne Garcia. Myra se convirtió en una esposa maravillosa y afectuosa para Isael Delgado el 7 de julio de 2007. También fue la major cuñada de Eduardo Rodríguez.

Cuando era niña, a Myra le encantaba jugar a la maestra con sus hermanas. Esto llevó a Myra a seguir su pasión por convertirse en maestra. Recibió su licenciatura en Estudios Liberales de CSUN en 2001. Poco después, trabajó en la Escuela Primaria Elm durante 3 años. Myra luego pasó a enseñar artes del lenguaje y ELD en Fremont Junior High School en que enseñó durante 17 años. En 2017, Myra fue honrada por los Masones de Anacapa en la Noche Anual de Observancia de las Escuelas Públicas. Myra amaba a todos sus estudiantes y tenía una gran pasión por enseñarlos a todos. Trataba a sus alumnos como si fueran suyos y quería verlos triunfar. A Myra le encantaba ayudar a los demás y tocó muchos corazones. Todos sabemos que Myra está muy feliz por todo el apoyo y cariño que sigue recibiendo hoy. iQue descanse en paz!
