I am so saddened by the loss of Dr. Bob. Having worked in his office for years in the past, it just doesn't seem right that he won't be there anymore to argue politics with me! He will be missed and I'm grateful to have known him. Barbara, I know your loss only too well having lost my love 1 year ago.

Dr. Carson was a humble, yet great, physician. His love for his work as well as his love for his patients made for a rare combination. The genuine interest and compassion he felt for all who crossed his path is almost unheard of in today's world. I will miss him terribly. One of the brighest lights in the dermatology community has dimmed forever. Rest in peace, Dr. Bob, and my most sincere condolences to his family.

I am so sorry to hear of Bob's passing. Bob was a dear and valued friend for many years to both me and my family. I had the utmost respect and admiration for Bob, both as a doctor and as an American. He was a true American who always stood by his principles. God bless Bob and you during this difficult time.

I was so sorry to hear about the passing of Dr. Carson. What an amazing, kind, smart and compassionate man and MD. I was so happy to see him just a couple of months ago and get to hear his wonderful laughter and wisdom. My father, Dr. William Fox, enjoyed working with him for so many years! It was my joy and privilege to know and work with Dr. Carson for almost 30 years. As I walk down the hallway in the office, I keep expecting to see him standing there, as he always was, turning to smile at me and saying something clever and funny. It will truly never be the same without his presence. He was our father and friend, someone we could always turn to for help or guidance. He was our doctor and took care of us, caring and kind. He was our teacher, always on a quest for new knowledge. I am blessed with many wonderful memories. To his family I send my deepest sympathy, as I share their pain and sadness. He will be missed by many.

To the family and staff of Dr Bob,
What a sad feeling to realize this kind and professional man will not be here to address our skin problems. He treated me for minor blemishes and major canser removal and always with good humor.
My prayers go out to all of you. He will be greatly missed.

I have known Dr. Carson since I was a little girl back in the 1960s. He was a friend and colleague of my father, Dr. William Fox. When I had a wart on my hand, my dad knew Dr. Carson could take care of it, which of course he did! I went back to Dr. Carson several times during my childhood for varios skin issues and remember him as being a good doctor and a nice man. How wonderful that he enjoyed working up to the end of his life!

Too many memories to go into details-the many CMA meetings,Wheeler Canyon ranches, keeping Cabrillo Tennis Club(which I helped start so it was near & dear) going in spite of the decline, V C Med. Assoc & the fight to preserve the practice of medicine as we oldsters knew it, the retired Drs. meetings (tho he was too young to fully retire), & on & on. He always had an opinion-& a smile to go with it!! Hank Stoutz,M.D.

Dr. Bob, you will be sorely missed. Thank you for wrapping your wing around my sister and your nurse, Julie. You were the greatest mentor; she learned so much from you. What you leave behind, your funny quips, your political rambles, your compassion for others and your great medical knowledge will never be forgotten. No one will be able to fill the space in which you once stood. You were the greatest!

With sympathy for all you've touched. You will always be remembered with great love.

Please accept my heartfelt condolences over the passing of such a caring doctor. In 1990, when I saw him for the first time I never imagined I would become so attached to Dr. C. that I wouldn't think of seeing anyone else. In 2008 I moved to Hawaii but made sure I got checked out while visiting family. May he rest in peace.

We are very sad to hear of Dr. Carson's death. My fiance, Mario, and I both went to Dr. Carson and he was always so professional, yet had a great sense of humor. Once, when I was getting some "buffing" done on my face he asked me "you're not entering any beauty contests next week, are you?". I laughed and laughed and said no. "Okay, then, he said, we can proceed." He was a good man and we enjoyed his humor and his expertise. We will miss him.

Dr. Carson was also compassionate. The first I saw him for acne, in 1971, he treated me with a kindness I didn't expect, and have never forgotten. He must have instilled this in his staff because the nurses were nice too: Pam, June, Pauline, and who could forget Loretta!

My sympathies to the Carson family.

The most vibrant 82 year old I've ever met. He told me recently that he loved his work so much that he'd be at it until his dying day...and even at 82 that comes way too soon. He was fun of dreams and plans - even putting up internet sites for which he had already acquired the names. As he bounced web ideas off me over breakfast I marveled at how full of life...and full of the future he was. I'll truly miss Bob as my friend and as my doctor.
