Steven Davis Obituary
Steven Curtis Davis, 57, of Oxnard, CA. passed away at his home in Port Hueneme on March 3rd, 2015. He was preceded in death by his parents, Charles and Theresa Davis, and is survived by his brother David Davis and his sister-in-law Diana Davis, his three nieces Krista Mattei, Tiffany Shiver and Chelsea Davis, three sons Jason Kessenich, Cameron and Skyler Davis, his daughter Ashley Cortez, his granddaughter Alyssa Kessenich and his significant other Julie Winchester.
Steven Davis was born Oct 17, 1957 in Oxnard, CA. Growing up Steve and his brother David both worked and ran Chucks Auto Parts and Salvage. Steven was involved in cars all his life and he loved his drag racing. For more than 30 years Steve was a registered drag racer with the NHRA.
His love of people and willingness to lend a hand or just an ear made him loved by many. He will be remembered for his friendship, his love and loyalty, for his contagious smile and most of all he will be remembered for the incredible father he was. He will be greatly missed by all who knew him. His light will shine forever in our hearts guiding us like a lighthouse in the darkest of times.

Our thoughts and prayers to Steve's family and friends. I've know Steve since we were kids back in the good old days. We belonged to the Street Racing Association and used to cruise Main St in Ventura. He was the guy to go to when you had a question about cars. He was a great guy and a caring person.

Growing up in Oxnard in the 60, 70, and 80 we spent a lot of time at Chucks Auto Parts and Salvage. My parents John and Theresa Thein owned D & B Cleaners in Camarrilo. I can remember delivering the dry cleaning to Chucks. Always greeted with those infectious smiles from Steve and David and their beautiful parents.

Dave I am so sorry to hear this happen to Steve. I an the John you guys knew when you kids. I worked for you Dad Chuck and Later at Taco Bell and your mom Teri use to bring you guys by and I would fix you two up with all the
extras.. After that I got drafted and went to Vietnam. I use to stop by and see you guys from time to time. I last saw Steve at the Ventura Raceway. He said you guys were going to Race there this year. My son-in- won the Hobbie last year Ernie Malone. Maybe you know him. Any way I really sorry about your brother. Prayers for your family friend.
