JoAnne Humphries Taylor

JOANNE HUMPHRIES TAYLOR JoAnne "Elaine" Humphries Taylor passed away on April 7th, 2025 in Vernal, Utah. She was born June 28th, 1942 in Vernal, Utah to Elmer and Venice "Penny" Oaks Humpries. Elaine married Ken Taylor on February 14, 1963, later their marriage was solemnized in the Salt Lake City Temple on December 18, 1964.They were blessed with 2 children Corey and Jennie. Elaine was a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints where she served in many callings such as Primary Teacher and Relief Society. She was a mom to everyone; she loved music and was very artistic. She loved animals and loved being outdoors, especially the springtime.Elaine enjoyed spending time with her family. She is survived by her husband Ken, son Corey (April) Taylor, 8 grandchildren, 9 great-grandchildren, and 2 great-great-grandchildren. Brother, Dwayne (Doris) Humphries. She is preceded in death by daughter Jennie Taylor, mother Penny, father Elmer, sister Myrna (Ted) Hardinger, and great-granddaughter Zelda Taylor. Funeral Services for Elaine will be held Monday, April 14, 2025, at 11 am at the Uintah Stake Center (4080 S 2500 E) with viewings held Sunday from 6-8 PM at the Mortuary and 1 hour prior at the chapel. Burial will be in the Maeser Fairview Cemetery under the direction of Blackburn Vernal Mortuary.
