William "Bill" T. Shott, of Phoenix, AZ, died Wednesday, August 31, 2016 at his home with his wife by his side. He was born August 12, 1960, in Sycamore, IL. The son of Richard and Betty (Swedberg). He married Crystal Engelsen on June 18th, 1983. He was a graduate of Genoa Kingston High School and honored to be a team-mate of the 1977 Illinois State Championship Team.
He and Crystal moved to Phoenix Arizona in 1984. In 1992 he started his own successful commercial construction company, "Shott Construction, LLC". He loved fishing, football and baseball, especially going to the Arizona Diamondbacks games. A season ticket holder since day one, 1998.
Survivors include his wife, Crystal; his children, Jeni (Tim) Maijala, Sam (fiance Andrew Crow) and Taylor; one grandson, Jackson; and one grand-daughter, Violet on the way. His parents, Dick and Betty; brothers, Jay (Gloria), Jeff (Carol), John (Diana), Dan (Kara); and many nieces and nephews; Mother-in-law, Charlene Engelsen; and sister-in-law, Jennie (Nate) Comer.
He is preceded in death by grandparents, Henry Shott, Helen Shott-Fant, Samuel and Olen Swedberg; Father-in-law, Everett Engelsen.
The celebration of his life will be held on Wednesday, September 7th from 4:00pm to 8:00pm at Friday's Front Row at The Arizona Diamondbacks Stadium, 401 E. Jefferson Street, Phoenix, AZ. Please wear a Diamondbacks shirt or your favorite sports team attire.
