Graveside service for Bob Risley, 77, of Blackgum, was held at 2 p.m. Friday, Oct. 10, 2025, at Box Cemetery in Vian under the direction of Agent Mallory Martin Funeral Service, Inc.
Mr. Risley was born on Jan. 4, 1948, to Gillie and Melvin Risley, at Blackgum. He passed away on Tuesday, Oct. 7, 2025, at his home.
He was a 1966 graduate of Vian High School. He had careers in boot making, construction, was a heavy equipment operator, truck driver and farmer, but his true passion was horses. He took pride in training them for shows and competitions.
Survivors are his sister and brother-in-law, Dixie and Jerry; wife, Faye; children, Levi and daughter-in-law Renee, Stephanie, Tracy, and Gill and daughter-in-law, Delaina; their mother, Doris; 12 grandchildren; 11 great-grandchildren; and other relatives and friends.
He was preceded in death by his parents; siblings, Delphi, Donald, Caprice, Phyllis and Shirley; and sons-in-law, Ramon Harris and Monte Heppel.
Pallbearers were Levi Risley, Gill Risley, Austin Short, Stephen Short, Cooper Risley and Lathan Harris.
Honorary pallbearers were Clinton Cato, Irvin Barnes and Les Locust.
