Levada Wildcat Obituary

Memorial services for Levada Babala (Smith) Wildcat, 88, of Vian, were held at 2 p.m. Wednesday, Feb. 23, 2022, at Marble City Baptist Church under the direction of Agent Mallory Martin Funeral Service, Inc.
Mrs. Wildcat was born Oct. 21, 1933, in Claremore to Stokes Smith and Lila McCoy Smith and passed away Friday, February 18, 2022.
She cherished her younger years at Dwight Mission and presided over many a gathering of the Dwight Mission Alumni group. She was an LPN and RN, best known for her time as a nurse in the ICU at Muskogee General Hospital, retiring from there.
She married French Wildcat in October 1957 in Los Angeles, Calif.
Survivors include her husband, French of the home; daughter, Veda and Jerry McPeak of Warner; son, Victor and Tammy Wildcat of Muskogee; six grandchildren; three great-grandchildren; sister, Lucy Lou Smith of Vian; brother, Crosslin Fields Smith of Vian; and numerous nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives and friends.
She was preceded in death by her parents; sister, Christine Smith Fields; and four brothers, William Lee Smith, Stokes Smith, Jr., Manual Smith and Benny Smith.
In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to the Levada Wildcat Nursing Scholarship Fund, PO Box 63, Warner OK 74469.
