A memorial service for Sheriadan Duty "Sherry" Walton, 86, of Roland, was held at 10 a.m. Tuesday, Aug. 5, 2025, at Hanson Baptist Church. Cremation is under the direction of Agent Mallory Martin Funeral Service, Inc.
Mrs. Walton was born on Oct. 29, 1938, in Gore, to Eula Marie (Mullen) Goodman and Hershel Lee Bloomer. She passed away on Thursday, July 31, 2025.
Survivors are her daughters, Cheryl Tompson of Fort Smith, Ark., and Angela Duty of Sallisaw; sons, Ricky Lee Duty and Nicole of Sallisaw and Mark Duty and Mindy of Akins; seven grandchildren; two sisters, Barbara Anson of Akins and Shaunda Johnson of Tahlequah; and many other relatives and friends.
She was preceded in death by her parents; daughter, Debra Coker; son, James Michael Duty; granddaughter, Andrea Coker; and son-in-law, Rick Thompson.
Honorary pallbearers were Tensley Means, Payton Stump, Dillon Duty, Terry King, Ricky Morris, Dale Sisco and Christopher Bibb.
