Thomas 'Tom' Long
April 30, 1926 – Jan. 3, 2023

Funeral services for Thomas "Tom" Long, 96, of Sallisaw, were at 10:30 a.m. on Wednesday, Jan. 11, 2023, at Agent Mallory Martin Chapel in Sallisaw. Burial followed at Sallisaw City Cemetery under the direction of Agent Mallory Martin Funeral Service, Inc.
Mr. Long was born on April 30, 1926, in Brushy to Joe Long and Bess McKinney Long. He died on Tuesday, Jan. 3, 2023, at his home on Brushy Mountain. 
He married Wanda Kisselburg on April 7, 1951, in Van Buren, Ark. She preceded him in death on Oct. 4, 1975.
He was a U.S. Army Veteran of World War II and a rancher. Throughout his life he worked as a dispatcher for Time D.C., an auto mechanic and salvage yard manager, and a taxi, truck and ambulance driver.  He was of the Pentecostal faith. He was active for several years in the VFW.
Survivors are one daughter, Sherry Long of Sallisaw; one son, Barry Long of Sallisaw; companion of 46 years, Ruby Henry of Sallisaw; seven grandchildren; eight great-grandchildren; his extended family, Sherrel Henry, Shelia Crittenden and Phil Henry; and several other family members and friends.
He was preceded in death by his parents; one son, Larry Thomas Long; five sisters, Bonnie Hacker, Jewell Roberts, Annie McCaslin, Ruby Long and Elba Benge; and two brothers, Choc Long and Carl Long.
Pallbearers were Todd Long, Troy Long, Travis Long, Skylar Long and Joshton Henry. 
Honorary pallbearers were Wayne Brown and Dwight Bese.
