BOBBY TYSAN COY STACY, age 32, of Grundy, Virginia, went to his Heavenly Home on Wednesday, August 6, 2025.
Tysan was born on June 5, 1993, in Tazewell County, Richlands, Virginia. He was the son of Roger Ray Stacy and Melissa Griffey Stacy of Grundy, Virginia.
Tysan was a member of the New Hope Christian Church at Grundy, Virginia, and a lifelong resident of Buchanan County. He was a coalminer, having worked in the coalmining industry. He loved to play football, and his number was 74. He loved to hunt, shoot pool with his dad, spend time with his mother, sing songs with his son Bryson, watch his daughter Tylee in beauty pageants, and most of all spend time with his family and friends.
Tysan was preceded in death by his paternal grandparent, Phyllis Jean Estep Stacy and uncle, Eddie Rife.
Those left to cherish his loving memory include his parents, Roger and Melissa Stacy of Grundy, Virginia; children, Tylee Grace Stacy and Bryson Gray Stacy and (mother of his children, Santana Taylor) of Tazewell, Virginia; maternal grandparents, Bobby Roy Griffey and Lois Blankenship Griffey of Grundy, Virginia; paternal grandparent, Coy Ulvert Stacy of Hurley, Virginia. He is also survived by several aunts, uncles, and cousins; special aunt, Tasha Hardin of Grundy, Virginia; special cousins, Brianna, Bobby, Robby, Lisa, Justin, Bralynn, Sarah, and Kellie; and a host of friends.
There was a service for Bobby Tysan Coy Stacy on Tuesday, August 12, 2025, 7:00 P.M. at the New Hope Christian Church, Grundy, Virginia, with Tommy Conn, Ryan Lark, and Bill Neeley officiating. The family received friends at 6:00 P.M.
A funeral service was conducted on Wednesday, August 13, 2025, 1:00 P.M. at the New Hope Christian Church, Grundy, Virginia.
Burial was at the Mountain Valley Memorial Park, Big Rock, Virginia.
Serving as pallbearers were Brian Hardin, Bobby Slone, Robby Rife, Ricky Stacy, Justin Stacy, Jeremy Griffey, Kenneth Stacy, and Alex Keene.
Honorary pallbearers were the former Hurley Football players, the Buchanan General Hospital and staff, and many special friends.
Special thanks to anyone who helped Tysan in the past.
