Linda Childres Obituary


LINDA KAREN CHILDRESS, 73, of Cedar Bluff, VA, passed away Monday, January 8th, 2024, at Clinch Valley Medical Center in Richlands, VA. Born in Grundy, VA, she was the daughter of the late Ed and Thelma (Ling) Pugh. She was of the Christian faith and was a lifelong member of New Life Fellowship Church. She worked as an LPN.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Junior Childress; and several brothers and sisters.
Those left to cherish her memories include her daughter, Heather Childress; several brothers and sisters; granddaughters, Leslie Boyd and Carrie (Tyler) Reynolds; grandson, Joshua Boyd; great-grandchildren, Hudson and Hallie Reynolds.
A memorial service for Linda Karen Childress was held at New Life Fellowship in Oakwood, VA, January 10th, at 6 p.m. with Pastor Jerry Wilson officiating.
Grundy Funeral Home of Grundy, VA was honored to serve the family of Linda Karen Childress.
