Vickie, although I did not know your father personally, I did know how much you loved, respected, and appreciated him. Over the years that we've worked together and became friends, I feel fortunate that you shared many stories and memories of him and your family with me. I can tell he was a fine man from all of the guest book entries. He had great love for you and believed in the value of good work ethic which shows in your own work ethic. May the memories of your dad comfort you through the days ahead. My deepest condolences to you and yours for your loss.

Adam was a very dear friend whom I have known since the mid 60's. He use to pick me up on his way to the ferry and we worked together at Mare Island for years. Different directions caused us to lose contact but not friendship. I send my deepest condolences and hope time will soften the loss. He was a fine man!

Our prayers go out to the Molinar Family. me and brother Todd used to work at the family restaurant as kids. The whole family was great to me and my brother, Todd used to race bikes with Adam Jr. and spent a lot of time with him. I used to work in the store and would have to listen to Adam Jr band. Adam Sr. was so proud of all his children. Our thoughts and prayers go out to all the Molinars.

I also remember the kindness and understanding Mr. Molinar had for all people at the shipyard. I truly appreciated his friendly smile and encouragement he offered while many of us were struggling with decisions during the time of the base closure. He was not only a great GF but one of the troops who had our backs! A candle will be lit at St. Mary’s Church, Eugene OR in his remembrance. On behalf of the Buis’ family, please accept our condolences and prayers during this sad time of your lives.

I'm sorry to hear of Adams passing. As a young apprentice (1980) Adam was my supervisor for a brief time in the pipe shop. He was so encouraging and quick to show his appreciation for a job well done. Though my time working with him was brief, I still remember him for his positive attitude.

To the family

Yes, Adam was someone many admired. He was full of wisdom and I'm thankful for being on the receiving end of his wisdom many years ago. I was a young apprentice on Mare Island and fresh out of Vietnam war. I was living in the fast lane when he pulled me aside, smiled, and poured out the knowledge I needed desperately. He is one of the most unforgettable persons I've encountered in this life. My prayers and thoughts are with all family and friends of this wonderful man. Thanks be to God for placing him in my life and at the right time. I will forever be grateful to him.

May God's Love, Peace, and Grace rest and abide with family and friends.
